Description
I captured this interesting flower bouquet in an outdoor event and amazingly it looked like a kaleidoscope and they are Annuals/perennials called Verbena.
Verbena provide a bright spot of long-lasting color along borders, in cottage gardens or trailing out of containers. Several species of plants fall under the genus Verbena. Although a few of these are annuals and need to be replanted each year, many more are perennials and come back year after year. Perennial verbena differ in size and growth form but also share many of the annuals' characteristics. When in bloom, perennial verbena provides a show of flowers grouped in clusters. Each of the small flowers within a cluster has five petals that are partially fused to make a tubular flower. The natural color of most verbenas is purple or red, but breeders have developed hybrids in colors such as white, pink and magenta. The typical leaf of a perennial verbena is small, with a toothed edge, and lightly covered in fine hairs.
