Description
This year there are not too many squirrels eating bulbs of Tulips so I still be able to capture some tulips available in my back yard garden, though some of the bright purple tulips are no longer there. I like the inner circle of this open yellow tulip. It is like a flower within a flower and the yellow color is so soft .
The tulip is a perennial, bulbous plant with showy flowers in the genus Tulipa, of which up to 109 species have been described and which belongs to the family Liliaceae. Tulips are amongst one of the most attractive flowers on earth. They are known for its simplicity, ease of caring and colorful blooms. The name, tulip comes from tulipa or turban (also taliban) worn by people in the Middle East. Tulip is the national flower of Turkey & Iran and the floral emblem of Netherlands. The peculiar shape and colors of tulip make it one of the most loved flowers on earth. Edited from Wikipedia - Online Encyclopedia
